REGISTRATION POLICIES 2021

Membership & Insurance Fees
All tuition & Registration/Membership fees are subject to 5% GST. *No GST on insurance fees
Insurance & Membership fees are activated September 1st and Expire August 31st of the next year.
A $42 Annual Gymnastics BC (GBC) insurance fee is required for enrolling in gymnastics classes during our Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer sessions. Insurance fees are non-refundable.
**Note that the GBC insurance fee is $153 for competitive athletes and $18.50 for participants coming less than 5 times a year.
Wayland Sports Annual Membership fee: $36 + GST each child (for athletes that train 6+ times per year). Membership fees are non-refundable.
Casual Membership Rate (for participants that sign up for a limited of 5 times per year in any gymnastics activity – class / camp / other special events) : $25 + GST

Cash, *Cheque, Master Card, Visa or Debit.

*There is a $25 service charge for NSF cheques & declined pre-authorized credit card payments.>
You will receive a discount when registering a child in more than one recreational class per week (you will pay less $$ per hour when you increase the amount of hours your child trains per week). The discount will be applied to your account before our system charges for registration.
*All discounts and coupons are not applicable to Full-Day Camps, Drop-ins, or any Competitive programs.
Registration Policies for Recreational & Competitive Classes
Classes will run pending registration. If cancellation is necessary, Wayland Sports Ltd. will notify parents (and students if possible), and tuition fees will be fully refunded.
Participants in any program are expected to be emotionally and socially capable of conducting themselves appropriately with their peers and leaders, and to actively participate in all activities of the program. Participants who do not demonstrate these abilities may be required to withdraw from the program.
Tuition Fees for the entire term (Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer) will be charged to your account after successful registration. Please note that our system will charge your card on file 1-3 weeks before the new class session starts unless arranged otherwise. Payment plans can be arranged for special circumstances. Please consult the office for details. Please note that if a member withdraws before the program term ends, the remainder of the current term’s fees are still due (see cancellation/withdrawal policy below).
Competitive training throughout the summer is highly encouraged. Should athletes remain training over the summer and wish to take some time off for vacation, they should let the office know prior so that we can arrange the prorated monthly cost for their training time missed. *Note: This system is only offered throughout summer training in July and August, and not throughout the competitive season (September-June).
*Monthly prices for competitive classes are averaged over 40 weeks. The monthly totals already incorporate all scheduled holiday time off throughout the year. Holiday time off is outlined on the yearly schedule and fees page.
*Competitive parents will also be charged a $120 coaches fee per year for each competitive season to cover coaches competition costs. This fee will not be charged should there be no in person competitions (i.e. due to Covid). Individual athletes’ competition fees will also be charged to your account given the price of each competition.
Wayland Sports Ltd. provides the opportunity for only 2 make-up classes available per term, subject to the availability of space within the current class schedule. Make-ups may only be used in the term for which the class was missed, and will not be carried forward to a future term/date. Please call the office to book all make-up classes.
Terms of Programs Cancellation/ Withdrawal
If a member cancels before the first day of classes, 100% of the class fee will be refunded (note that the insurance and membership fees are non refundable). If a member cancels after the 1st or 2nd day of classes, 80% of the prorated balance will be credited into the account.
No refunds or credits will be issued after the 3rd class, unless for medical reasons. A doctor’s note must be provided, otherwise, members are responsible for the full term’s tuition.
For competitive classes, registration for the competitive season is a 10 month commitment (September-June). Should a family wish to withdraw, they will need to give 60 days notice to the coach/office prior to leaving the program. If a member withdraws before the program session ends, the remainder of the current term’s fees are still due (they are responsible to pay for the tuition should the athlete not train during this 60 day notice period).
Special events such as Kids’ Night out require a minimum of 3 business days to cancel. Camps require 5 business days’ notice to withdraw.
Inclement Weather – No refunds will be issued if a class is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, power outages, etc. A make-up class will be offered instead where possible.
Registration for Camps
A $18.50 Casual Gymnastics BC insurance fee is required for participants attending only 1-5 days of camp yearly between September 1st to August 31st of the next year. Insurance fee is non-refundable.

A $25 Wayland Sports Registration/Membership fee is required for participants attending 2-5 days of camp or classes yearly between September 1st to August 31st of the next year. Membership fee is non-refundable.
A $36 Wayland Sports Registration/Membership fee is required for participants attending more than 5 days of camp or classes yearly between September 1st to August 31st of the next year. Membership fee is non-refundable.

If a member cancels 5 business days prior to camp start date, 80% of the camp fee will be refunded. Transfer to alternative weeks may be possible on a space permitting basis with no penalty. Refunds or credits will be applied after date guidelines only in the case of medical reasons in which case a doctor’s note is required.
Camp participants are expected to be emotionally and socially capable of conducting themselves appropriately with their peers and leaders, and to actively participate in all activities of the program. They are required to adhere to the program Code of Conduct both on and off site. Participants who do not demonstrate these abilities will be required to withdraw from programs. 80% of the prorated fee will be refunded.
Registration for Drop ins
*First time customers for the 2021-2022 season will need to sign a waiver form.
**Adult signature is required for any participant under the age of 18 years.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU PAID THE GBC INSURANCE FEE FOR THE 2021/22 SEASON FOR GYMNASTICS CLASSES YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY IT AGAIN FOR DROP IN
Drop in “Member” Rates

*Please note that due to insurance policies, drop in participants UNDER THE AGE OF 6 are NOT allowed to use any device with springs (i.e. no trampolines, double mini’s, tumble tracks or any trampoline device) are allowed to be used during drop ins regardless if your child is enrolled in gymnastics classes. Due to this reason, our drop ins will ONLY be for participants aged 6+.
**Drop in classes are not formal classes. There will be a drop in supervisor(s) to oversee all participants, but please note that the drop in staff are not there to run/coach a class, but to supervise participants having “free time” safely in the gym.
If gymnastics classes are running during drop in hours, drop-in participants are not permitted to use the equipment that these gymnastics are using while training and are asked to only use the Drop-ins will run pending registration. If cancellation is necessary, Wayland Sports will notify you and fees will be fully refunded.
Drop -in participants are expected to be emotionally and socially capable of conducting themselves appropriately with their peers and respect those in charge and to treat the equipment and others with care. Participants are required to adhere to the program Code of Conduct both on and off site. Participants who do not demonstrate these abilities will be required to withdraw from programs. 80% of the prorated fee will be refunded.
*NOTE: Due to COVID-19, we are currently not offering Birthday Parties at this time
Member’s Special – $10.00 discount off any party!
Full payment required upon booking. Please book the total number of guests expected to attend the party, so that staffing can be scheduled accordingly. If the party is cancelled 3 weeks or more before the booked date the Birthday fee will be refunded less $50.00.
No refunds will be issued if the party is cancelled within 3 weeks of the booked date.
